Overview

Finzzy is a personal finance app that lets users in Colombia manage multiple bank and financial accounts in one place, plan their budget, track expenses and build saving habits through a simple, clear experience.

Business Context

In Colombia, the lack of financial planning and control affects a large share of the population. According to Banco de la República and the Superintendencia Financiera, roughly 70% of Colombians struggle to save and manage their personal finances, and 50% don't have a formal budget. On top of that, 44% of households report financial issues due to lack of savings. Existing apps, while useful, don't fully address multi-account management or the specifics of local financial behavior.

My Role

As Product Designer and UX/UI Designer I owned the project end-to-end in a 6-day sprint: research and definition of problem, need and goal; information architecture and user flows; UI and visual system; and a navigable prototype of the key screens (onboarding, dashboard, accounts, history and settings).

Challenge

Design, in a 6-day challenge, a UX/UI solution that showcased analytical depth and a well-defined case study. The core challenge was to address Colombian users' financial pain points —excessive debt, lack of savings, instability and poor preparation for the unexpected— with an app that centralized multiple accounts in a clear, accessible way, tailored to their real financial behavior.
