Product Impact
- Owned the end-to-end product design of Shappi's B2C and B2B apps — an international delivery and collaborative logistics platform that connects Latin American shoppers with verified travelers who bring purchases from U.S. and China online stores to their doorstep.
- Turned complex logistics, customs and compliance rules into streamlined user experiences across the Traveler, Shopper and Ambassador flows.
- Optimized B2C/B2B conversion funnels by redesigning the Ambassador and Traveler flows based on quantitative user data and live analytics.

- Built and scaled the centralized Shappi Design System from the ground up, unifying 3+ product verticals (B2C app, B2B app and internal operational tools) and significantly reducing design-to-development handoff time.
- Advanced token architecture and component structures maximized front-end performance and consistency across every surface.
- Redesigned internal logistics tools, simplifying customs and compliance workflows for the Operations team.
- Partnered directly with Product and Engineering to execute roadmap priorities and guarantee pixel-perfect front-end implementation.
Overview
Shappi is an international delivery and collaborative logistics app that connects people in Latin America with verified travelers to bring purchases made in U.S. and China online stores (Amazon, Shein, eBay, Apple, and more) to their doorstep. As Senior UX/UI Designer at Shappi, Inc., I led the end-to-end product design of the B2C and B2B mobile apps and the internal operational tools, and built the centralized Design System that powers the entire ecosystem.
Business Context
Shappi is an alternative to traditional couriers, avoiding cumbersome customs procedures, local taxes and category restrictions (such as annual quotas or the 4x4 weight limit). At signup, users get a free U.S. locker address to receive purchases from stores like Amazon, Shein, eBay or Apple; Shappi's team receives the package, performs quality control and assigns it to a certified traveler heading to the user's country. The traveler carries the product in their luggage and delivers it to the recipient, with in-app protection and real-time tracking. The platform also offers a 'we buy for you' service for users without an international credit card. This creates a three-sided marketplace — Shoppers, Travelers and Ambassadors — with strict logistics, customs and compliance requirements that the product must abstract into simple, trustworthy flows.
My Role
During my full time at Shappi (Feb 2025 – Jul 2026), I grew from UX/UI Designer into Senior UX/UI Designer, owning the design of the B2C/B2B apps and the internal operational tools end-to-end. I also created and scaled the centralized Design System used across the company's product ecosystem, and partnered directly with Product and Engineering to ship roadmap priorities.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end product design for B2C/B2B apps, traveler flows and internal operations tools.
- Translate complex logistics, customs and compliance rules into streamlined, user-friendly experiences.
- Maintain and scale the centralized Design System using advanced token and component structures.
- Partner with Product and Engineering to execute roadmap priorities and ensure pixel-perfect front-end implementation.
- Conduct continuous user research and turn insights into interactive prototypes and high-fidelity UI.
- Run rigorous front-end QA to document visual bugs and iterate designs based on live analytics and direct user feedback.
Challenge
Design a single product ecosystem that serves three very different audiences — Shoppers in Latin America, verified Travelers moving between countries, and Ambassadors driving growth — while abstracting away international logistics, customs, compliance and payment complexity. The product also had to unify a B2C app, a B2B app and internal operational tools under one coherent visual and interaction language, without slowing down the roadmap.
Visual
