Product Impact
- Official app for the University of La Sabana community — students, teachers and employees — centralizing academic, administrative and campus-life services in a single mobile experience.
- Automated processes that were previously manual and time-consuming for both advisors and students, speeding up daily university operations.
- Introduced new modules such as Food service, Reservations, Awards and badges, Wallet and a ChatBot to expand the app's value beyond basic information.

Overview
This project consists of automating university services from a single App. Students, teachers and employees can manage schedules, plans and other services, as well as visualize and consolidate information from the student and management side.
Business Context
The problem arises from the time-benefit cost of carrying out these processes manually — for both the advisor and the student. The challenge was also tied to innovation across the University's processes, moving from manual workflows to a modern, self-service digital experience aligned with the institution's transformation.
My Role
As UX/UI Designer during my business internship, I designed multiple modules of the University App — profile, digital carnet with QR, services hub, reservations and food service — ensuring a consistent visual language and a scalable component system aligned with the university's brand.
Responsibilities
- UX/UI design of key modules: profile, digital carnet, services, reservations and food service.
- User research with the university community: teachers, students and employees.
- Definition of user flows and interaction patterns for academic, support, library and campus-life services.
- Design of reusable components and screens aligned with the university's visual identity.
- Close collaboration with product and development teams to guarantee feasibility and quality of implementation.
Challenge
Speed up, automate and increase the added value for students, management and advisors, delivering better performance across the university's processes while consolidating multiple services — food, reservations, awards and badges, wallet and chatbot — into a single, easy-to-use mobile app.
